Fly fishing round up - a photo from (almost) all of our summer fly fish excursions

yeesh... so much for 5 posts a week! I only have one day left... here goes for a posting marathon!

Q and I took up fishing as a summer hobby... neither of us caught a fish the entire time, but one thing I did capture was a lot of photos in between changing flys in preparation for bringing in "the big one"

This is our little camp setup, matching totally by accident! Watch out next year though, we will be camping in comfort and style after the debut of the totally rebuilt chalet charmer! This little trip was near Sicamous BC in the spring.

Here we are in Golden BC, not one bite! Boy do we have great fly casts after all that practice!

These beauties were taken at the lake just minutes from our house...

Thanksgiving weekend at a little lake near Kamloops BC, I am testing out the bouquet in preparation for next year... (exciting wedding details are on the horizon!)

And of course our faithful sidekick along for a boat ride. He had an undisturbed nap curled up on a blanket that day...         because, you guessed it- we didn't catch a thing!

Note: the awesome vintage find
- Old school hipwaders $25 at one of my favourite thrift stores. Tags on and not a leak!

lil' charmer

The perfect start to my posting routine. Introducing the chalet... the best thing to come out of the year 1974. I paid my neighbor $600.00 for it and that was $600.00 too much! The thing is rotting from the inside out. What you see here are the before photos... stay tuned for more on the progress of this diamond in the rough. I wish I had taken a shot when it was folded down for transport, tent trailer style.

Back in the saddle...

Ok, from this day forward
5 posts per week
they may not be fancy, but its time to start a routine here.
now, I gotta go come up with something to post...
